See ya in the morning!

In our family, before we go to bed we always say "Goodnight mom/dad, love ya, see ya in the morning!", I want to focus on that last part "See ya in the morning". Growing up I thought that was just something we say before bed. Then as I began to get older I started thinking about that phrase more, I thought "but what if I don't see them or they don't see me in the morning? Cause After all nobody knows when they will die."
Which is very true, nobody knows the exact moment of their death, it's just how it is, get over it.
But then I began to think about it from a theological stand point, that's when I became overwhelmed. Okay, so think of life as night, what comes after night? Morning! So morning will be what is after life! Now, it's in your hands if your "morning" is good or bad, you can choose if you go to heaven or hell. For those who have accepted Christ, we can look forward to the morning, cause when morning comes we will finally see our Dad, the One who calms all fears, the One who sent His son to die for us, The Great I Am! He will wipe away our tears! I'm just gonna throw this out there, morning is gonna be awesome for those who are in Christ!!! Also, do we want everyone to have a Heavenly Father? If you answered yes, then get out there and start fulfilling "The Great Commission"! I really hope you answered yes, cause if you said "No!" Then.... We need to talk!

See y'all in the morning,

Trials

So you feel like you can't go on?
Have you ever thought that you were gonna break?

Well, it's all part of a plan!
God is putting you through this trial to help you learn and/or to help you help someone else who struggles with the same thing!

How do you learn from a trial?
Well, there are multiple things you can learn through a trial, 1. That God loves you! 2. That you need God! Those are the ones I can think of off the top if my head!

How do we help others that struggle with this?
Okay, so say you have lost someone you love, well if a friend of yours loses someone close, you know how it feels, and know how to comfort them!

How do (should) I handle trials?
The bible tells us in 1 verse!

James 1:2 says: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds."

I hope this shed some light on the subject of trials, This is a very small portion covering trials, if you want more info, ask me, or ask a pastor (they are probably a better option)

War

This is a call to arms!

It's not like get your guns ready, but a call to spiritual warfare!

What does that mean exactly?

Well, our enemy, The devil and his forces, are trying to destroy the followers of Christ, he does everything in his power to turn us away from God. The sad fact is, he will succeed in taking over some people, but have hope, we can stop it, we can keep the devil away from us!

How do you do that?

This is one war that won't be fought standing, this war will be fought on our knees. That's right, on our knees in prayer!

Our two strongest weapons, are prayer, and our sword, which is the word of God!

Lets check out Ephesians 6:13-17:

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of the evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 in addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

We can fight if we use Gods armor!

Look out for others

I love Philippians, especially Philippians 2!

The part I am talking about is verse 1-4

Here's what it says:

If you have encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in the spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each if you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others.

That is prolly one of my favorite sections of scripture.

Most of us live only to make a "good impression" or to please ourselves,
When really we should be out to help others, we are to be like Christ and love others more than ourselves!

He is risen

Resurrection Sunday, or Easter Sunday,
Is by far the greatest day for Christians,
Because that was the day Sin and Death lost its grip on me and hopefully you!

Good Friday was a sad day when Jesus was crucified, because the Disciples didn't believe he would actually rise from the dead.
All they knew was the man they had been following for the last several years was just brutally murdered.

We know that he did rise, so we can be happy!

But he didn't come back till after 3 days.

Tomorrow is the day we celebrate his resurrection!

When Jesus died, the Devil thought he won, but come Sunday he lost!

Because when Jesus rose He paid our Debt, our sin was forgiven, and we could enter into eternal life with Him!

Now days Resurrection Sunday is very commercialized.
When you think about it, it is the most distorted holiday. At Christmas time most people (even if they aren't Christians) know that it's about Christ's birth.
But with Resurrection Sunday, it's been so heavily commercialized that every on thinks its all about the bunny, the eggs, and getting all dressed up!
At secular (not Christian) stores you can't find anything that says "He is Risen"!
The owners of the said store may say, "
Anything like that is too inappropriate for our young shoppers!"
Are you kidding me? The "Easter Bunny" is more inappropriate!

I am not saying that "Easter eggs", "Easter bunnies", and chocolate are bad things, but when you are doing your Easter egg hunt, remember what it's all about!

And if you haven't excepted Christ, please do so, He died a painful death for you!

Take Up Your Cross

So, I am going to be in a play and this play is based off of John Bunyan's book titled Pilgrims Progress.
So I decided to study the life of a "pilgrim".

In a sense we are all pilgrims on a journey somewhere, but the true pilgrimage is where you are headed when you die, whether Heaven or Hell.

If you are on a Hell bound journey and want to start a heaven bound journey here is what you will need to do.

1.Realize your sin.

2. Humble yourself.

3. Ask God into your life

4.Take up your cross

Take up your cross, What does that mean?
Well, when Jesus died to pay for you to be forgiven, He died a bloody, painful death on a CROSS
He tells us to take up our cross and follow him.
